The Hellenic Bioscientific Association in the USA has been created since February 2005 and was officially registered in
Boston Massachusetts, USA in August 2005.

Since December 2006 it has been registered as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

The major aims of this effort are:
1. Strong scientific interaction among the Greek and Greek-American Bio-scientists in USA.
2. Organization of scientific and cultural events.
3. Direct communication and interaction with other existing bioscientific associations and Greek universities.
4. Improved communication channel among Greek Bioscientists on new developments regarding the professional or the
educational field of Bioscience.
5. Direct information about positions that are available in USA and Greece.

An advisory committee which consists of exceptional Professors is cooperating with the Board of Directors in order to establish a
strong association that will improve the interaction between the Greek scientific community's members.

The development of a communication network will provide with the potential for strong interaction of the Greek and
Greek-American academic community in the USA and Greece which will facilitate further cooperations among the members and
will result in their scientific improvement and advancement.
