Malta (MMSA) Electives Programme

Post by Admin on Mon 30 Nov 2009, 08:36

Hello,

here is one potential source for a medical electives' programme run by Malta Medical Students' Association (MMSA)

The Malta Medical School is pleased to offer students attending other medical schools in foreign Universities, the possibility of doing an elective clerkship in Malta.

The Electives Programme is administered by the Malta Medical Students' Association in conjunction with the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. Kindly note that the role of the student undertaking a medical elective attachment is an observatory one. Thus all aims and objectives should reflect this role. The Programme runs all year round, rotation in more than one speciality is possible and there is no limitation on the duration of the electives.

Malta is one of the most popular places in the world for elective clerkships and places are limited, thus early application is recommended.

MMSA looks forward to welcoming you to Malta and offers its assistance to make your stay enjoyable and fruitful.

On this website you will find detailed information on the Programme and how you can participate.

Hope this is helpful!
Regards

Re: Information on medical electives!

Hi,

I am a midwifery student, but did a placement overseas with Work the World and it was great. They do medical and nursing placements etc and all the food and accommodation is included. The major thing was that it was a really good placement though - so many of my friends at college ended up on terrible ones because they tried to get it sorted themselves.

Good luck!
