International Summer School 2009

International academic environment

Each Summer Copenhagen University College of Engineering invites both international and Danish students to attend one or more of our Summer School courses.

Copenhagen University College of Engineering (IHK) is offering a series of courses in English in the summer of 2009:

Mathematics from B → A level

Target Group
Higher Education students who meet the academic requirements of the individual courses.

Fees
Students from EU/EEC countries
Students with a citizenship from within the EU/EEC countries (Incl. Danish nationals) can participate on a non-tuition basis as long as they can document the course(s) will be counted towards their degree. The documentation must accompany the application.

EU/EEC-citizen students that cannot get the approval of credit transfer are welcome to participate on a tuition fee basis; these students are charged the same rate as Danish Open University students, which is currently 200 EURO (1,500 DKK) per course of 7,5 ECTS.

Students from outside EU/EEC countries

Students with a citizenship from outside the EU/EEC countries can participate on a non-tuition basis if they come from a partner institution and are nominated as exchange students.

Students with a citizenship from outside the EU/EEC countries that are not nominated or come from an institution that is not a partner can apply to participate as a non-European Freemover. The cost of the program is 1,670 EURO (12,500 DKK) per course of 7,5 ECTS.

Duration
The duration of each course is three weeks.
Except International Engineering Project - four weeks

ECTS credits
Each Summer School course counts 7.5 ECTS.
Except International Engineering Project, that counts 10 ECTS and Danish Language and Culture, which counts 5 ECTS.

Admission criteria
Admission is conditioned by the “first come, first served” principle, by the number of students and by fulfilment of academic requirements. Applicants from our partner institutions have first priority.

Deadline for all courses is April 1, 2009

Accommodation

We are able, to some extent, to arrange accommodation, depending on the specific period. Posibilities are listed below.

In the period July 6 – July 24 IHK can arrange accommodation in student residence halls or private accommodation depending on availability. The price range is 225-350 Euros.

In the period August 3 – August 21, IHK can arrange accommodation in student residence halls or private accommodation depending on availability. The price range is 225-350 Euros.

In the period July 25 – August 2, IHK is not able to arrange accommodation, except for students on the International Engineering Project course; however, we will try to assist you to the best of our ability.
