Eurotrip!! Empty Eurotrip!!

Hello!
Me and a friend of mine, we are thinking in going for Eurotrip this summer and see as much of the rest of Europe as we can! Very Happy We are planning to spend a month and maybe a bit more...
But we are in a dilemma at the moment....We have the option of taking a car, but as we are not really experienced in long distance driving, we are thinking the option of train instead...

Is anyone here who has had a Eurotrip experience? Which one do you think would be more convenient?

Also, which are the MUST visit places in your opinions?
