WorldWide Volunteering Empty WorldWide Volunteering

Just imagineā€¦ You are sitting outdoors in a Nepalese village surrounded by vibrant, happy children eager to learn the new skills you are teaching them. It's a whole new different world - a far cry from commercialised Britain and its busyness. Here it is hot in the day and cold at night. The air is pure, the scenery spectacular and the only traffic noise is from bicycles and carts. The sense of achievement is enormous.

Or perhaps nearer to home, you are doing wildlife research by humanely trapping and recording small animals and birds, carrying out conservation and scrub clearance on a Scottish isle or helping a group of youngsters with disabilities take their first holiday at the seaside in Eastbourne.

All really worthwhile projects - you could play it safe and stay at home of course, but think what you might be missing.

Build an on-screen profile of your ideal volunteer placement - How old are you? When do you want to start volunteering and for how long? Who do you want to help? What activities interest you? Where - UK or overseas? How much can you afford - if anything?

Click search and you instantly get comprehensive information about organisations that match your wishes. You can print it all out too.

Take time out and do something worthwhile!
