Language, Culture, History,Theology and Philosophy Summer Cources 2011, Aarhus University
AU Summer University 2011

In 2011, Aarhus University will launch an extended summer university programme based on experience from previous years. AU Summer University will consist of a portfolio of courses taught in English at Bachelor, Master and PhD level within the fields of Humanities, Theology, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Business and Educational Sciences.
Venue: AU Summer University will take place on campus in the architecturally renowned yellow-brick buildings in the beautiful university park. At the venue you will have access to a helpdesk and service centre. Addresses and building locations will be announced later.
Courses: AU Summer University is divided into two consecutive terms. In each term, students can earn between 5 and 10 ECTS credits depending on course selection and duration. All courses are conducted in English following the terms below:
Term 1, 2011
4 July - 22 July (5 ECTS course)
4 July - 29 July (10 ECTS course)
Term 2, 2011
1 August - 19 August (5 ECTS course)
1 August - 26 August (10 ECTS course)
However, some courses have other dates. Please look at the individual course list.
Academic focus: All teaching at AU Summer University is based on current research and has a strong international perspective. The close link between research and education ensures the quality and depth of the courses. Lecturers are partly academic staff from Aarhus University and partly international guest lecturers.
Students: AU Summer University welcomes Danish and international full-time students, exchange students and free movers. Class sizes range from 20-40 students.
Services: Along with the academic programme, we offer accommodation service, visa service and a small social programme for both faculty members and students.
