Objectives and Programme
The Turin International Summer School aims to provide participants with a specific knowledge on economic, legal and social aspects related to immigration flows within the EU system. In particular the programme will focus on:
- EU Migration policies
- EU Legal status and rights of immigrants
- Civil rights of immigrants
- Expulsion for illegal entry and crimes within the EU
- Trafficking in human beings
- Radicalisation
- EU External relations and human resources development
- Skills development for legal migrants
- Integration models
- Generations of immigrants in Europe

Other activities
Besides the training activities a photographic competition and some touristic visit may be organised during the spare time.

Requirements and Language
Graduates and young professionals may apply. Undergraduates in the final year of attendance may be considered for admission.

Knowledge in legal, economic and social subjects is an asset.

The working language of the course is English. Therefore, a good knowledge of the English language is essential.

Fees
Tuition fees are set at € 360,00. This covers: registration, tutoring, teaching, equipment and stationery, training material and lunch tickets for the training days (Monday to Friday).

Costs for travel, transports and visa procedures are not included in the fees.

Fellowships
A limited number of fellowships are available. Fellowships may exempt participants from paying the fees or reduce the fees (tuition fees + board and lodging at Villa Gualino) to € 360,00.

Deadline
The applications should reach the Turin International Summer School Secretariat not later than June 28, 2011. The admittance will be notified by email not later than August 2011.
