15th INTERNATIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL SUMMER CAMP IN SLOVENIA
15 - 22 July 2011

Summer camp is traditional international project which is organized by ŠSSFD, Slovenia. It is a great way to spend your holiday while you will learn something new, see a beautiful countryside of unique Slovenia, meet new friends and most important have lots of fun.

This year we will be situated near an old small town called Ptuj between 15 and 22 of July. Our main topic would be Food supplements while they are more and more commonly used and we think it is very important for us as pharmacists to be more educated in this field. We are preparing some interesting lectures, workshops and public campaign. Furthermore there will be a great social program as well, which will be consisted the craziest parties, sport games and so much more.

Accomodation
We will spend one week in small village called Spuhlja, which is only 1,5 km far from the oldest Slovenian town Ptuj.

We will live in dorm with big rooms, so each of you will have a lot of great roomers. Isn’t this great?

In the dorm it is also a big dining room and two classrooms, so there will be no need of walking. There is also a playground for basketball, football and volleyball for the afternoon activities.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Main topic: Food supplements

We will provide 5 lectures about different types of food supplements, usefulness of them and possible problems. We will also provide the interactive workshop, where you will prepare the public campaign. In the end we will represent our knowledge in the streets and tried to increase knowledge and understanding food supplements in Slovenia.

SOCIAL PROGRAM

One-day trip
We will organize one day of sightseeing. We will visit old famous castle, the old town of Ptuj, beautiful spa and a lot more. You should really not miss that.

Leisure time activities
Due to summer time the RC has decided to provide a lot of leisure time activities, where you will have the opportunity to meet new friends and have a wonderful time. We will organize sport competitions, funny workshops and other surprises.

Parties
Meeting party, Slovenian night, International night are parties you simply cannot miss. However we will also organize awesome theme parties, so we will be up until sunrise every night.

Registration details
Registration fee: 180€
The registration fee includes: 7 nights, 3 meals per day during summer camp, transportation from Ljubljana to Ptuj, one-day trip, all lectures and workshops, parties

We have 50 places, 30 for Slovenian and 20 for foreign students.

If there are too many applicants, we will be force to do the elimination.

Elimination procedure:
We will follow the motto: Who comes first, gets the placement first. However we have some additional criteria:

For foreign: First we will accept 2 students from one country. If there are placements left, other applicants will be accepted.

For Slovenian: We will accept 5 students from each year. If there are placements left, other applicants will be accepted.
