ELSA - CBL International Dubai Law School, December 27 - January 8 2012
For the second consecutive year, ELSA and CBL International have joined forces to offer its ELSA Members the best opportunity for international education with discounted tuition fees. Due to the huge success in ELSA - CBL International cooperation in China 2010, we have decided to add a second joint programme in Dubai.
Introduction
CBL International Dubai Law School is organized by CBL International in cooperation with Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai (Dubai Women's College).
Participants of this exclusive programme will be introduced to the bustling economic centers of the Middle East - Dubai and Abu Dhabi. As part of an international group of students they will experience lectures by local and international professors, managers, or lawyers in the fields of international and Arabic law, economics, and business. Arabic courses are included so that participants have a good language foundation. The summer course is organized as a 3-week programme, and the winter course lasts for 2 weeks (including New Year's Eve).
Location: Dubai and Abu Dhabi are part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This country is one of the most dynamic regions of the Arabic world. In both cities some complimentary sightseeing will be offered to create a perfectly balanced program of studying, learning, and enjoying the Middle East
Interdisciplinary: The programme is appropriate for undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in international legal, economic, and business trends and developments within the Gulf Region and the Middle East.
International: Lectures held by local and international professors, managers or lawyers from different departments or industries are integrated into the program. With students from all over the world taking part, the programme has an international flavor and flair that lend it fresh perspective and will keep all delegates on their toes!
Experience: Enterprise representatives, lawyers and culture representatives provide insight into the legal work and business life in Dubai and the Gulf Region. Visits to law firms or enterprises will give participants an impression of working in the various industries and in the Middle East in particular.
...and in addition: In Dubai an exciting sightseeing trip and a cruise on the Dubai creek (the river in Dubai) run by the famous Big Bus Tour (maybe you know them already from London, Shanghai or any other city) is part of the programme. An optional (200 AED extra) guided desert tour is offered during the programme. It is our pleasure to announce that since last year, a day trip to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, is part of the programme.
Credits: The workload of each week of CBL International Dubai School is equivalent to 2 ECTS/ 1 US credit - so in total 6 ECTS/ 3 US credits.
