Overview
The CERN Winter School on Supergravity, Strings, and Gauge Theory is the analytic continuation of the yearly training school of the former EC-RTN string network "Constituents, Fundamental Forces and Symmetries of the Universe". The 2013 edition of the school is supported and organized by the CERN Theory Divison, and will take place from Monday February 4 to Friday February 8, at CERN.

As its predecessors, this school is meant primarily for training of doctoral students and young postdoctoral researchers in recent developments in theoretical high-energy physics and string theory. The programme of the school will consist of five series of pedagogical lectures, complemented by tutorial discussion sessions in the afternoons.

Scientific Programme
The School consists of 5 lecture courses of four lectures each (please note that these titles are only intended as a guide):

R. Bousso*: "Entropy and Complementarity in Gravity"
G. Giudice: "BSM Physics in Light of LHC7"
A. Neitzke*: "Topics in N=2 Gauge Theories"
V. Rychkov: "CFT in D>2"
S. Schafer-Nameki: "Tools for String Compactifications"

In addition there will be tutorial sessions and a lecture on LHC results by A. De Roeck.

To participate in the school you are required to pay a 110 CHF registration fee.
