CESifo Venice Summer Institute 2009, 6-11 July

The CESifo Venice Summer Institute, held every year in July, will celebrate its 10-year anniversary in 2009. Focusing on themes of current interest in European economic policy, the Institute brings together international economists working on economic policy topics for workshops, panel meetings and discussion. The conference venue is Venice International University on San Servolo, a tiny island across the water from San Marco in the bay of Venice.

CESifo's tenth Venice Summer Institute will be held from 6 to 11 July 2009, with six workshops dealing with the following topics:

European Unemployment
The Economics and Politics of Climate Change
Behavioural Public Economics
Operating Uncertainty using Real Options
Rethinking the Privatisation of Social Security
Heterogeneous Firms in International Trade
