SALTO: Why? What? Where? When? Who?

SALTO-YOUTH stands for Support, Advanced Learning and Training Opportunities within the European YOUTH programme.

What is the history and scope of this network of SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centres?

What is SALTO-YOUTH?
SALTO-YOUTH is a network of 8 Resource Centres working on European priority areas within the youth field. It provides youth work and training resources and organises training and contact-making activities to support organisations and National Agencies within the frame of the European Commission's Youth in Action programme and beyond. SALTO-YOUTH's history started in 2000 and is part of the European Commission’s Training Strategy within the Youth in Action programme and works in synergy and complimentarity with other partners in the field.

SALTO Partnerships & Cooperation
SALTO-YOUTH does not take over the work of other actors in the field - on the contrary - SALTO strives to complement existing initiatives or build synergies between them.

* SALTO provides mutilateral Training Courses, in cooperation with National Agencies/Coordinators, about European Priority Topics and according to NAs needs.
* SALTO works together with the Partnership on European Youth Worker Training between the Council of Europe and the European Commission on publications like Coyote and T-Kits, through interlinking between their websites and by co-organising Trainer Meetings
* The SALTO EuroMed Resource Centre is a partner in the EuroMed Partnership agreement between the Council of Europe and the European Commission
* SALTO cooperates with the European Youth Forum and lists their Pool of Trainers members in TOY.

SALTO is further divided in SALTO Eastern Europe & Caucasus, SALTO EuroMed, SALTO in South East Europe,
SALTO for Cultural Diversity, SALTO Inclusion, SALTO Training & Cooperation

Each of these programs are offering several training and traveling opportunities! But most of the DEADLINES are very soon!

Details
This project is based on the idea that everybody is capable of being creative; the task is to discover your own creativity, train it and learn how to use it. We will support the group process and individual development.

You will be sleeping in 7 bed bedrooms, sharing a house with a beautiful garden and taking care of house duties, such as cooking, for example.

Considering individual needs we will share an intensive (and hopefully great) week as a group. Different interactive methods will support participants firstly to “feel and experience” and then to "reflect and build" on this experience. This TC will be run by Virginia Bertelli, Rui Montez and Sławomir Muzioł. The three trainers come from different backgrounds and bring different – but complementary – approaches to creativity, self development and entrepreneurship.

OBS! In the venue there is only stairs (no elevator).

Costs
30% of travel costs + participation fee:
- Participants living in Greece, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia (Euro-Zone countries) pay 60 Euro.
- Participants living in Czech Republic and Poland (non Euro-Zone) pay 30 Euro.

Travel costs will only be refunded after we receive all related tickets (including boarding passes). This means participants will have to advance the money themselves and they will only be reimbursed after their return trip. This might take up to 8 weeks after the TC (and counting only from the day we get the tickets, of course).
