Youth Employability Skills (YES) - Youth exchange
Olde Vechte Foundation, Ommen, The Netherlands
Date: 12th until the 20th of July 2011 (excluding traveling days)
Purpose: The purpose of this exchange is to create new attitude towards employability
Conditions: Participants must be from one of the following countries: Portugal, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovakia, Greece, Netherlands.
We are searching for unemployed people, between the age of 18 – 25 years old, able to work in intermediate English; willing to actively participate during the whole exchange. There are 5 places per country
About the program
A few of the assumptions about work or a job, likely there are many more, mostly coming from society or family, school and others. Assumptions created in the past.
But now we are living different times. Work can be enjoyable and for filling your personal needs. More then every your personal skills and competences are crucial in a company or in building your own enterprise. There were never so many possibilities like today. Labor market is in a continuous change. Everything is faster than it was before. Companies are looking for people with a different profile: flexible, with initiative, adaptable, fast decision making. Information is everywhere. Starting your own business was never that easy. There is a European labor market that is more easily accessible through all possibilities of Internet.
Youth. Employability. Skills.
Project gives you the possibility to clear out your core qualities and gain the ability to use and market them in order to find a desirable career or start your own company. You will have the chance to find out what drives you to do things passionate and how you successfully master it.
In general, the exchange focuses on subjects such as: developing initiative, flexibility, gaining self confidence, team work, daring, adaptability, independence, looking at the reality, my core qualities, which is my role in a team.
Multi-cultural environment
40 participants from 8 different countries, with different multi cultural background, will be part of this exchange. You will work in teams and interact with each other. We strongly believe that through intercultural experience and by experiential learning you will be able to strengthen your skills.

• Greece
• Portugal
• Hungary
• Poland
• Lithuania
• Romania
• Slovakia
• The Netherlands
Participants:
• 5 participants each country
• 16-25 years old
• Who want to start their own company, new comers on the job market, people who are on the point of changing their career, students;
• Speaking English. Translation into other languages will also be provided as long as we are informed well ahead of time.
During the exchange you will be hosted in the group accommodation of Olde Vechte Foundation.
Participation fee and travel reimbursement
This event is financially supported by the grant from the European Union program Youth in Action and Olde Vechte Foundation.
• We can reimburse 70% of your travel costs, if you will give us travel tickets, boarding tickets and receipts. So remember to keep your boarding pass!
• We will reimburse you only if you will participate in whole exchange.
