Basic Cell Culture: Theoretical–Practical Course

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra is pleased to announce its first Summer School on Basic Cell Culture, which will take place from July 18th to 22nd 2011.

This is a project which gathers students from all around the world interested in gaining and extending their not only theoretical knowledge but mainly practical skills in the area of Cell Culture.

The scientific part is composed of short lectures, seminaries and large amount of practical skills which will be conducted on the highest standards equipment.

Apart from the scientific part, a rich social program will help participants to make new friendships, get to know Portuguese culture, sightseeing Coimbra and its outskirts, and just to have a great time.

This course aims to give students the opportunity to be exposed to medical research in an academic medical environment, introducing them into cell culture techniques. In five days you will receive a complete basic education, enabling you to understand and link the different aspects of cell culture.
