Would you like to work and live in thé architecture city of the Netherlands for two weeks? Are you interested in working on a unique and realistic design problem amongst professionals in your field of knowledge? Then the Rotterdam Architecture Summer School 2011 is something for you!

Rotterdam Architecture Summer School
The Summer School is a two-week international event aimed at advanced bachelor students and master students, but is also open to young professionals. The Summer School is hosted by the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design and organized together with several other institutions in and around Rotterdam.

The Summer School offers an exercise in dealing with unique, yet realistic design problems on locations in or around Rotterdam. Students from countries all over the world (usually 15 to 20 different nationalities) work in small groups, supervised by experienced and inspiring architects and urban designers. Several experts contribute to the studio by giving lectures or being a critic. A number of field trips and excursions is included in the programme.

Infratecture
The theme of the 2011 summer school will be Delta Infratecture: the design aspects of infrastructural elements like roads, bridges and transport hubs in the Dutch delta.

Certificate
Your participation will be rewarded with a certificate. The Rotterdam Architecture Summer School is a 4 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) programme.

Participation costs € 995,
