Business Summer Schools 2011
The dates for the 2011 Summer Schools are:
Monday 27th June until Friday 15th July
(Summer School 1)
and
Monday 25th July until Friday 12th August
(Summer School 2)
The Business Summer School aims to equip international students and those working in business, with an understanding of business practices and principles whilst allowing students an opportunity to improve their English language skills.
Spread over three weeks and delivered in English throughout, the Summer School consists of a mixture of formal teaching, business and cultural visits and a series of guest seminars from academics and industrialists which all aim to give detailed insights into business as practice.
Performance throughout the Summer School will be monitored and assessed through presentation exercises and group discussions, as well as a final assessment at the conclusion of the course. English language and communication skills will be reviewed and developed through the use of our video recording and editing suite.
Students who successfully complete the course will be:
able to communicate effectively in English within a business context
familiar with essential business vocabulary and terms
able to derive understanding and knowledge from business courses delivered in English
familiar with the role of a range of business disciplines from both a domestic and international perspective
Entry Requirements:
Attendees need to have a basic level of English before attending the course.
How much will it cost?
The Business Summer School course costs £1,000 which includes, accommodation, tuition fees and the cost of cultural and business trips.
Please note that the course is self catering therefore you will need to bring additional money for food.
